Rice Balls


These Rice Balls make a great alternative to sandwiches come lunchtime – and they’re so easy to prepare! You can include any ingredients you like, as long as they’re diced finely.

Ingredients

  • Short grain Sushi rice
  • Sushi vinegar
  • Finely diced onion
  • Finely diced broccoli
  • Sesame seeds
  • Sesame seed oil
  • Finely diced red or yellow capsicum
  • Canned tuna or salmon

Method

  1. Cook the short grain rice according to instructions, then add the Sushi vinegar
  2. Lay out a sheet of GLAD Wrap and place a handful of rice on top
  3. Lay your other chosen ingredients on top of the rice, then wrap the GLAD Wrap securely ensuring all rice is covered.
  4. This is where it gets fun for kids - little fingers can squish and push the rice around to create their own shape (not necessarily a ‘ball’)
  5. Store in the fridge until you're ready to pop the Rice Balls into your lunchbox
