Quick n' Easy Paella

This tasty recipe is great for a mid-week family meal. Prepare all ingredients and place in an Extra Large GLAD Oven Bag. Prepared and cooked ready to serve within an hour – perfect!


  • 500g frozen prawn cutlets cooked (thawed)
  • 500g mussels in shell (cleaned)
  • 1kg chicken breast (cut into strips)
  • 750ml chicken, fish or vegetable stock
  • 250g long grain rice
  • 60g onion (finely chopped)
  • 60g red pepper (diced)
  • 1 cup mixed green vegetables (beans, peas, etc)
  • 200g plum tomatoes (skinned, de-seeded, diced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (peeled & crushed)
  • Olive oil
  • Pinch of saffron (approx. 4-5 threads)
  • Thyme (sprig)
  • Pinch of salt and pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 180ºC
  2. Place all the ingredients (except the tomatoes) into a GLAD Oven Bag Extra Large. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Pour the warm white stock into the bag and seal with the tie provided.
  4. Put the bag into a non-heated oven-proof dish and snip the corner off the bag/or pierce the bag a few times so that the steam can escape while cooking.
  5. Place in the oven and cook for 25 minutes.
  6. When cooked, cut bag open and place contents into a dish, carefully mixing in the tomatoes.
  7. Garnish with wedges of lemon and serve immediately.
