Fragrant Scallops

These asian-inspired marinated scallops are perfect served over a bed of finely chopped shallots. And once they’re marinated, they only take 5 minutes to cook!


  • 1 kg white scallop meat
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp peanut oil
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped lemongrass
  • 1 Tbsp grated ginger
  • ½ cup finely sliced shallots


  1. Marinate the scallops in a blend of sesame and peanut oils, lemongrass and ginger for about an hour.
  2. Once marinated, drain the scallops then line a bamboo steamer with GLAD Cooking Paper.
  3. Place the scallops on the GLAD Cooking Paper and cook for 3–5 minutes in the covered steamer.
  4. Serve with the finely chopped shallots.
