Technology Everywhere...
Seriously, what's the big deal? People write so much about it...and..? I'm sure by now you're fully aware and capable of sending a TXT, and won't need to be searching up on the net for a 'how-to-TXT-your-teen' guide. But although for adults all these things may seem boring and pointless, they don't see how such a simple thing such as sending a TXT can be so attractive for teens! Is it fun to catch up with a friend? Of course! For a teenager, TXTing a friend is almost the same as sitting down next to them, and drinking coffee and calling their conversation a 'catch up'.
In both cases, they're just 'chilling' - the difference is - talking through TXT or talking face-to-face.
Everyone will admit face-to-face is a billion times better.
BUT
If you're a teenager, you could be having like three different 'catch-ups' at the same time. Yes - through TXT! Imagine that - you can do it out of the comfort of your home, or wherever you are. The end result is you and the other person have 'caught up' and officially have communicated what you're both doing, or going to be doing, or when the next time they're going to be crawling out of home is.
I read somewhere that through statistics, it's possible to prove that a person can send up to 7 different answers/subjects through one 160 character TXT message. All of a sudden, everything's abbreviated! That's the problem, isn't it? That we're forgetting how to spell!!!! Did you know that in veeery ancient Russian language, almost all words were written without vowels. No joke. Anything can be traced back. Abbreviation isn't the dumbing down of people. The problem is they're forgetting how to spell. Thnx - Thanks btw - By The Way bwt - about ily - I Love You Hws it gng? - How's it going? Whr r u? - Where are you? hwv u bn? - How have you been? 2m - tomorrow
We can see the abbreviation through modern TXTing...
Shakespeare also abbreviated.....can you remember...?
