Music Review Of Clay Aiken-Measure Of A Man

Category: Pop Artist: Clay Aiken Album : Measur e of a Man It`s undeniable that this guy has talent and it`s refreshing to hear someone who can actually sing in today`s pop industry. Unfortunately, I feel that Clay Aiken`s debut album Measure of a Man is bland, over produced and very undistinguished. Sadly the tracks in Measure of a Man do not do justice to Aiken`s vocal versatility and the end result is Aiken singing boy band pop . Okay, d on't throw your rotten tomatoes at me yet Aiken fans! I was disappointed in the production quality of this Cd.

Not Clay Aiken himself. The songs do not differ much in style and at times Measure of a Man plays like one very extensive, slow ballad. Aiken`s first album single Invisible would have any girl running for cover with lyrics like, What are you doing tonight; I wish I could be a fly on your wall and If I was invisible then I could just watch you in your room --Although I`m sure there are a few out there who really wouldn`t mind that idea at all! This album does convey a few great themes (I Will Carry You) and feel good` songs (I Survived You). It`s surely not a cutting edge album but is likeable and fun. Measure of a Man would mainly be recommended to people who want clean, mediocre, catchy tunes. L isten to the album in the store and then decide for yourself. I hope that for Clay`s sake the next album production is an improvement so they ensure the right songs are selected for his magnificent voice.
